Great Speeches
In
Aviation History
We at the Aviation On-Line Network are working to preserve the recordings of some of the Great Speeches In Aviation History. We believe that there are generations of aviation enthusiasts worldwide that have never had the opportunity to hear the recordings of the events that made aviation history.
It is for your benefit that we present these recordings today,
so that they may never be lost in the future.

Amelia Earhart
On the Future of Women in Flying
"The future of flying is filled with promise"
Location Unknown, February, 1931
"Opportunities for Women"
Location Unknown, 1935
We located these "rare" speeches presented by Amelia Earhart. Like so much of Amelia's life that was clouded in mystery, no one can be sure where these speeches were delivered or to whom. We won't attempt to do an autobiography on Amelia Earhart's life here, however, we do recommend that you take a look at the web page site at Worldflight that is covering Linda Finch's attempt to retrace Amelia's around the world flight. A lot of good historical information is presented.

I Was Amelia Earhart: A Novel
Straight from the current New York Times Best Seller List, author Jane Mendelsohn has written an excellent novel making fiction out of a legend. In an evocative and imaginative novel, Amelia Earhart tells us what happened after she and her navigator, Fred Noonan, disappeared off the coast of New Guinea one windy day in 1937. A quick read from start to finish....
